The top cover kit is a replacement part that was made by Pentair. The same high-quality materials were used to manufacture the original factory part. Making this a genuine OEM product.
The top cover was designed for the purpose of being a protective cover for the internal parts of the cleaner while giving it a clean sleek look. This also provides the cleaner the ability to glide through the water as it performs its cleaning tasks ensuring there isn’t any impediment.
This part is white with the Kreepy Krauly logo on its front side and can be found above the chassis kit or lower body making it very easy to identify as it is only held together by the buckle kit which also provides quick and easy access to the cleaners internals. When trying to troubleshoot an issue with the cleaner being weighed down or having trouble climbing it could be caused to this top cover being cracked or damaged. You want to check the integrity of this housing for such damage and replace it if found.
