The medium turbine is a replacement part that was made by Hayward. The same high-quality materials were used to manufacture the original factory part. Making this a genuine OEM product.
The medium turbine plays the role of transferring the rotating power to the gears housed in the upper middle body and sends it to the cone gear which turns the cleaner either left or right. Changing the cleaning pattern of the cleaner so it can eventually cover the entire surface of the pool.
The turbine is a light blue color to be able to tell it apart from the other various gears these cleaners need to operate their systems. The teeth that are located in the center of the turbine can wear over an extended length of time and use of the cleaner and will need to be replaced. It’s always a great idea to check these parts periodically for wear and tear.
