The steering bracket roller is a replacement part that was made by Hayward. The same high-quality materials were used to manufacture the original factory part. Making this a genuine OEM product.
The steering bracket roller provides these cleaners with the ability to not only maneuver around the surface of the pool. It also helps create a reverse mode keeping the cleaner out of any trouble spots like drains or steps. The steering cam also helps by initiating the reverse mode as it rotates and reaches its starting points.
The roller is black and is long enough to reach each gear inside the outer edges of the wheel hubs. The reverse mechanism is white and rests near the end of the cam gear on the left side of the cleaner’s lower body.
