The slotted santoprene shoes (4 pack) are replacement parts that are made by Hayward. They used the same high-grade materials that were used to make the original factory parts. This makes them genuine OEM parts that all our customers can trust.
These shoes were designed specifically for above-ground pools with vinyl surfaces which are delicate to ruff or stern materials that would normally damage it and cause issues for the pool and its system. So, Hayward created these shoes that are made of Santoprene which is a thermoplastic elastomer (rubber-like material) making it safe and secure for the fiberglass surface of the pool.
These shoes are an off-white color and are meant to be attached to the ends of each of the pods which are the mechanisms that help move the cleaner along the surface as it cleans. Now, these parts can wear over the length of time and use of the cleaner, so we always suggest checking these parts periodically.
