The block kit (which includes 2 blocks) is a replacement part that was made by Pentair. The same high-quality materials were used to manufacture the original factory part. Making this a genuine OEM product.
The block kit was created to be the end pieces needed to hold the long gear shaft in place along with several other parts, while also giving the shaft the freedom to rotate. That rotating power is then transferred throughout the parts like the idler gears, cam kit, and even the oscillator assembly which all aid in the cleaning success of these cleaners.
These parts are black and resemble blocks making them easy to identify when looking at the internals of the cleaner. Also, they are placed on opposite ends of the cleaner in predetermined locations so that way they can hold the gear shaft in place.
